No longer a "secret," the subtle tweaks that mark the new Völkl Mantra 88 W Skis only serve to make it more dialed than ever. What's different? The carbon fibers in the tips no longer bend upward in a smile, but seem to be frowning at you - we're happy about the change, though, since it makes the ski bend into the turn a bit more smoothly and increases straightline stability at the high end. They've also adjusted the width of the Tailored Titanal Frame a tiny bit for a bit more torsional stiffness underfoot and less at the tip. End result, a hard charging ski with tons of power and edgehold to burn that will appeal to strong skiers who push the limits.
