 The RISE series from Volkl is focused mainly on shaving as much weight as possible off the ski for the best possible uphill performance. It's still got that great Volkl 3D sidecut for performance on hardpack and the stability that Volkl skis are famous for, but these skis are really meant to perform best in the backcountry. Rock-solid compared to other touring-specific skis and definitely an awesome pick if you're looking to max out your uphill range.
